Radiator Valves Anthracite

Radiator valves, the all-important functional and finishing touch to your designer radiator

You need a radiator valve to allow you to control the heat output of any individual radiator. Because having a Thermostatically controlled valve (TRV) means each radiator in a room can be set to its own desired temperature. With positional choices of central, corner and and standard fit valves, you also have choice oil finish. The radiator valves are available in Anthracite, chrome, nickel and white - all of which are available for next working day delivery on purchases made before 3pm

Radiator Valves FAQ's

Radiator valves fit standard 15mm pipe work, and are like a tap that you fit on your radiators which connect the radiator to the heated water supply. One valve controls the amount of hot water entering, the other, known as the lockshield valve, acts as a system balancing tool that allows you to control the heat output of the radiator by slowing the flow.

Thermostatically Controlled Valves (TRV)

Thermostatic radiator valves, also known as TRVs, provide you with the ability to set your room's temperature thus allow for greater control over your heating. This means once the room temperature is met, the sensor within the radiator valve automatically shuts off the hot water entering and avoids the temperature rising further. If the temperature drops below the setting - it automatically re-opens to enable the heating process to maintain a constant room temperature.

Radiator Inlet Compatibility

There are several types of radiator valves to choose from depending on the size, position and needs. Radiator valves need to be compatible with your radiators' inlets and easily connected to water pipes. As water pipes can come out of the wall or the floor, there are different styles of radiator valves available that can accommodate this.

Corner radiator valves

Corner radiator valves are installed facing inwards and parallel to the wall. For this reason, these radiator valves are ideal for those looking to save space.

Straight radiator valves

Straight radiator valves are probably one of the the most typical, they have no bends so water flows straight into the radiator.

Angle radiator valves

Angle radiator valves typically rise from theand are probably one of the the most common valves. They have a 90° bend so as to connect the radiator pipe at an angle.

Central radiator valves

As it suggests, the central radiator valve locates at the centre of the radiator and often chosen to reduce the visible pipework to the designer radiator.
