Dual fuel radiators explained
15 August 2022
If you haven't yet considered installing dual fuel radiators, read on and you'll see it isn't that difficult, plus it can make all the difference when we're just starting to feel a hint of autumn in the air.
What if your radiator could swap between the central heating and electric?
If you have a room in your home that tends to get cold during the summer months when your central heating system is switched off - a dual fuel designer radiator has an electrical heating element and a T-piece allowing it to work independently of the other radiators in your home. Your radiator can be heated either by the central heating system, or electrically via the heating element - which means it can be turned on independently.
Dual fuel radiators are perfect for bathrooms and ensuites
There’s nothing worse than having a lovely refreshing shower, and then getting out and wrapping a cold, damp towel around you because it hasn’t had chance to dry. Wouldn’t it be lovely if you could have warm, dry towels all year round? With dual fuel, you can! Simply switch your bathroom towel rail on and say goodbye to cold damp towels! This is a great way to save energy, as it allows you to heat one room that’s feeling cold without having to heat the whole house, therefore saving you money on your heating bills.
Can any Radiator be dual fuel?
If you want to have a duel fuel radiator, then you need to ensure the heating element fits safely inside the style you need. The heating elements are long and thin, and the longer the element, the higher the wattage and the greater the capacity for heating. Which is why tall designer towel radiators are perfect for dual fuel conversions.
